由国际原子能机构(IAEA)主办的亚太地区“同位素技术在水文循环研究中的应用”初级培训班于2021年8月23日上午正式开班。该培训班是IAEA亚太地区国际合作项目“提升在地下水资源管理中同位素技术利用的区域能力”(RAS7035,2020-2023)的一项活动。开班式由项目牵头国协调员、IAEA水资源项目技术合作中国协调员、我所庞忠和研究员主持。在国际原子能机构代表S.Kumar博士,培训班承办方、马来西亚国家协调员、马来西亚原子能研究院M.Samuding博士分别致欢迎辞之后,庞忠和作了关于RAS7035项目进展和此次培训班情况的主题报告。
庞忠和对亚太区域合作项目RAS7035的背景、目的、实施方案作了介绍。本项目聚焦在地下水污染管理问题上。庞忠和在报告中回顾了同位素水文学及其在亚太地区应用进展,着重介绍了中国同位素水文技术进步及其在典型地下水盆地应用成果,并指出中国与IAEA在水资源领域的合作很有成效。同时表示,多年来的亚太区域合作项目对于该地区水资源领域多边和双边合作均有推动作用。中方愿意与区域伙伴进一步分享相关技术成果,提高地下水资源可持续管理水平。
庞忠和接着对本次培训课程设计作了说明。此次培训班是RAS7035项目的活动,是一个面向初学者和年轻人的同位素水文学初级班。该项目还计划了高级班,在11月份举办。培训班立足于介绍同位素在水循环研究中应用的基础知识和基本原理。希望学员对同位素水文学有一个全面初步概念。认识同位素技术在地下水调查研究中方面的应用。也希望通过这种方式,加强RAS7035项目参加国团队之间的交流与合作。为实现RAS7035项目的目标服务。本次培训班为期5天,2021年8月23日至27日。由于疫情原因,本次培训班采取线上形式进行。
正式受邀参加培训班的学员共29人,来自亚太地区11个国家。在开班仪式前学员们分别作了自我介绍。
开班式之后,培训课程正式开始。IAEA邀请的讲课老师分别是来自科威特科学研究所水资源部的Chidambaram Sabarathinam博士和来自巴基斯坦核科学技术院的Manzoor Ahmad Choudhry博士,在同位素水文学领域理论研究和实践经验丰富。上午完成的第1-3讲的主题是:水循环、地下水系统、环境同位素的基本概念。
